is a sustainable tourism initiative developed by the Association of Agroecotourism Operators of Bajo Tambopata (AOTAM) with the commitment to protect the buffer zone of the Tambopata National Reserve, Madre de Dios, one of the most biodiverse protected areas on the planet.
It is a proposal focused on conserving the rural road under Tambopata, located in the buffer zone of the Tambopata National Reserve, thus contributing to the conservation of the important biodiversity of this area.
In view of this great potential, local landowners in the area have ventured into low-impact tourism activities, providing lodging and food services, interpretive trails for bird watching and other recreational activities.
Currently, in the area there is a significant influx of tourists who travel attracted by the beautiful landscapes and large expanses of well-preserved Amazon forest that can be easily accessed from Puerto Maldonado. A world class nature observation destination.
Through the creation of the corridor, it is expected to stimulate community economies, generating employment in activities related directly and indirectly to the observation of nature and conservation.
